Matt Krause is a Southwest Florida singer-songwriter whose music blends acoustic folk, Americana, country, and rock into something deeply personal and honest. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Matt grew up surrounded by music before eventually relocating to Florida in 2016, where he continued developing his craft as both a songwriter and live performer.

Known for his authentic storytelling, soulful vocals, and emotionally driven songwriting, Matt writes songs rooted in real life — heartbreak, sobriety, redemption, fatherhood, and the highs and lows that come with being human.

Drawing inspiration from artists like Nathaniel Rateliff, Jason Isbell, and Tyler Childers, Matt’s music carries a raw, lived-in quality that connects with listeners on a personal level. Whether performing stripped-down acoustic sets or sharing stories between songs, he brings sincerity and heart to every stage he steps on.

After overcoming struggles with alcohol and rebuilding his life through music, Matt began channeling those experiences into songwriting that feels vulnerable, relatable, and real. His music, including the single “Quittin’ You,” reflects that journey — exploring themes of addiction, love, loss, healing, and personal growth.

Matt is also a member of the Southwest Florida indie folk band The Flood Brothers, performing throughout the region at festivals, bars, breweries, private events, and local venues. Alongside his original music, he performs a wide variety of acoustic favorites spanning folk, classic rock, country, Americana, and jazz-inspired arrangements.
